Ingredient library

What’s in it, what it does, and where it’s used.

Every product page here carries its complete ingredient list and each active at its stated percentage, before launch, before a single unit ships. This is the other half: what those names mean.

Where the materials come from

Every raw material has an address.

Turn the globe to find where each raw material in the range is grown or harvested, or read the same list underneath it. Each entry says what the material is, how it is taken out, and which product it ends up in.

All 16 ingredients

Grouped by what they are for. Every entry says plainly what it will not do, which is the half of an ingredient page that is usually missing.

Tone

Niacinamide

Vitamin B3 for your skin.

What it is

Vitamin B3 for your skin.

What it does

Think of a dark mark as pigment being delivered to your skin’s surface. Niacinamide slows those deliveries, so marks soften over time. It also helps skin hold moisture and stay calm.

Why we use it

It’s gentle, gets along with every other ingredient, and works best when your skin gets a little every day.

Tranexamic Acid

A lab-made ingredient with roots in medicine.

On an ingredient list as Tranexamic Acid/TXA

What it is

A lab-made ingredient with roots in medicine.

What it does

When skin is stressed by sun or a breakout, it sounds an alarm that says “make more pigment.” Tranexamic acid turns that alarm down before extra pigment forms.

Why we use it

It’s gentle and especially helpful for skin that darkens after irritation.

Unique to one product

Of the six formulas, this appears in AlphaTone Complex and nowhere else in the sequence.

Alpha Arbutin

A gentle version of a compound found in bearberry leaves.

What it is

A gentle version of a compound found in bearberry leaves.

What it does

Your skin has a pigment factory. Alpha arbutin slows the production line, helping reduce the look of spots and leftover marks over time.

Why we use it

It targets the extra pigment in marks, not your natural skin tone.

Unique to one product

Of the six formulas, this appears in AlphaTone Complex and nowhere else in the sequence.

Bakuchiol

A plant extract from babchi seeds, used in traditional Indian practice for centuries.

What it is

A plant extract from babchi seeds, used in traditional Indian practice for centuries.

What it does

Gives skin a retinol-like boost (smoother texture, a more even look) without the stinging and flaking. In a 12-week study, it kept pace with retinol with fewer side effects.

Why we use it

Results without irritation, because irritation can leave new marks.

Unique to one product

Of the six formulas, this appears in AlphaTone Complex and nowhere else in the sequence.

How they work together: A dark mark happens in stages. Tranexamic acid turns down the alarm, alpha arbutin slows the factory, niacinamide slows the deliveries, and bakuchiol helps fresh skin come through. That’s why AlphaTone is a complex, not a single hero ingredient.

Exfoliation

PHA

The gentlest kind of exfoliating acid.

On an ingredient list as Gluconolactone

What it is

The gentlest kind of exfoliating acid.

What it does

Loosens the dull, dead cells on your skin’s surface so skin looks smoother and brighter. Its bigger molecules work slowly, and it pulls in water instead of drying you out.

Why we use it

Harsh scrubs and strong acids can trigger new dark marks on melanin-rich skin. PHA refines texture safely, with a light touch in the cleanser and a fuller dose in the toner.

Renewal

Advanced Retinoid (HPR)

A next-generation retinoid, the active in Retinol Re-Genesis.

On an ingredient list as Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate

What it is

A next-generation retinoid, the active in Retinol Re-Genesis.

What it does

Regular retinol has to be converted by your skin before it works. HPR arrives ready, helping skin renew itself for smoother texture, a more even look, and softer fine lines.

Why we use it

Early research points to less redness and peeling, which matters on deeper skin tones where irritation can leave marks.

Good to know

Night use only. Wear sunscreen daily while using it, and talk to a physician first if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Unique to one product

Of the six formulas, this appears in Retinol Re-Genesis and nowhere else in the sequence.

Barrier and moisture

Ceramide NP

A building block your skin already has.

What it is

A building block your skin already has.

What it does

Your skin barrier works like a brick wall: skin cells are the bricks, ceramides are the mortar. Ceramide NP tops up the mortar so moisture stays in and irritants stay out.

Why we use it

When the wall has gaps, skin gets dry, sensitive, and more likely to darken.

Squalane

A lightweight oil that mirrors one your skin makes naturally.

What it is

A lightweight oil that mirrors one your skin makes naturally.

What it does

Because your skin recognizes it, it sinks in and softens without feeling greasy.

Sodium Hyaluronate

A moisture magnet your skin makes on its own.

What it is

A moisture magnet your skin makes on its own.

What it does

Pulls water into the surface so skin feels plump and comfortable, and the next step spreads evenly.

Cacay Oil

A nut oil from the Amazon.

On an ingredient list as Caryodendron Orinocense (Cacay) Seed Oil

What it is

A nut oil from the Amazon.

What it does

Rich in the fatty acid your barrier loves, plus vitamin E. It softens skin and keeps it comfortable.

Why we use it

It keeps skin soft after cleansing and cushions it while the retinoid works.

Soothing

Centella (Cica)

Also called gotu kola, a plant used in traditional healing across Asia and Africa.

On an ingredient list as Centella Asiatica Extract

What it is

Also called gotu kola, a plant used in traditional healing across Asia and Africa.

What it does

Calms stressed skin and helps it recover.

Why we use it

Calm skin is less likely to darken, which matters most alongside strong actives.

Irish Moss

A red seaweed from the cold North Atlantic (a seaweed, not a moss).

On an ingredient list as Chondrus Crispus Extract

What it is

A red seaweed from the cold North Atlantic (a seaweed, not a moss).

What it does

Its natural gel holds water against the skin and leaves it soft and cushioned.

Cucumber Water

Water drawn from cucumber.

On an ingredient list as Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Water

What it is

Water drawn from cucumber.

What it does

Cool and refreshing, it keeps the toner feeling gentle while the actives do their job.

Unique to one product

Of the six formulas, this appears in Dew De La Soil and nowhere else in the sequence.

Where you will find it

Malachite Extract

A green copper mineral from Africa’s Copperbelt.

What it is

A green copper mineral from Africa’s Copperbelt.

What it does

Copper is a trace mineral your skin uses to defend itself against everyday stress like pollution.

Origin

Copperbelt, DRC–Zambia

Unique to one product

Of the six formulas, this appears in Dew De La Soil and nowhere else in the sequence.

Where you will find it

Sun protection

Zinc Oxide

A mineral that sits on your skin and shields it.

What it is

A mineral that sits on your skin and shields it.

What it does

Blocks the UVB rays that burn you and the UVA rays that quietly darken marks and age skin.

Why we use it

For pigment-prone skin, UVA protection matters most. It protects the progress your other products are making.

Unique to one product

Of the six formulas, this appears in BluVeil SPF 30 and nowhere else in the sequence.

PBSA

A light UV filter that teams up with zinc.

On an ingredient list as Phenyl Benzimidazole Sulfonic Acid

What it is

A light UV filter that teams up with zinc.

What it does

Handles part of the work, so we can use less zinc. That means a lighter feel and less white cast.

Why we use it

This teamwork makes BluVeil a hybrid that goes on sheer on deeper tones.

Unique to one product

Of the six formulas, this appears in BluVeil SPF 30 and nowhere else in the sequence.

Where you will find it

Percentages shown for the actives doing the work. Everything else is named in the full list. They are read from the same data the product pages and the Shopify catalog are built from, so the library cannot drift from what is printed on a carton. Where a carton does not state a percentage, none is invented.
